Queerlective - We Are Your Neighbors: Storytelling for Change

Join us for an exciting new project from Queerlective—"We Are Your Neighbors: Storytelling for Change"—a collaborative effort to address social justice issues through the power of storytelling.

This innovative board game aims to raise awareness about social determinants of health, such as housing insecurity, healthcare access, and mental health. Through the immersive stories of marginalized characters, including Jayden, a 17-year-old nonbinary youth navigating homelessness, the game sparks meaningful conversations and encourages empathy for individuals facing these challenges.

The project has been generously supported by New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, New Hampshire Humanities, and Dr. Loretta Brady, who is advising on the game’s development. The characters and stories have been created in collaboration with local organizations like Arts in Reach and Waypoint Youth Resource Center, ensuring that the narratives are authentic and reflect real lived experiences.

The game will be unveiled at our community conference on May 18 when attendees will have the chance to play the game, meet the contributors, and engage in discussions about how storytelling can drive social change.
