October Trek - Bear's Den to Porcupine Falls

The Gilsum Public Library in partnership with the Gilsum Recreation Committee’s "Gilsum Treks" program has planned a hike between the Bear’s Den state natural area and locally conserved Porcupine Falls. Hike leaders will share their natural and cultural history expertise. Many challenges faced by early settlers to the area are similar to what the girl and her father faced in The Bear.
We will meet at the Gilsum Public Library with the option of carpooling to the trail head.

While the hike will not be fully accessible to those with mobility challenges, leaders are mindful of maintaining an inclusive pace and choosing outings that are appropriate for a variety of fitness levels.
