Evening Skywatch

Join the Laconia Public Library in the garden for an evening Sky Watch hosted by the New Hampshire Astronomical Society (NHAS)! NHAS will give participants a tour of the night sky using telescopes.

Participants are welcome to bring their own telescope or share the ones provided. All participants will have the opportunity to look at stars and other celestial bodies found in the night sky.

The Sky Watch is being held in conjunction with New Hampshire’s 2023 Big Read of The Bear by Andrew Krivak. Laconia Public Library, in partnership with New Hampshire Humanities, supports NH’s 2023 Big Read, made possible with support from the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.

This all-ages event will take place on Thursday, October 19 at 6 pm, (rain date Thursday, October 26 at 6 pm). ADA parking is available. The garden has mostly even terrain and some paved walkways.

More information is available on the Laconia Public Library website.
