New Hampshire Humanities SHARP Grants

The 2021 American Rescue Plan Act (ARP) allocated significant funds to the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to assist organizations impacted by the pandemic. The NEH subsequently apportioned $51.6 million to the nation’s state humanities councils through its Sustaining the Humanities through the American Rescue Plan (SHARP) program, with the intention that the councils would disseminate the funds to humanities and cultural organizations across their respective states.

New Hampshire Humanities (NHH) encourages all New Hampshire-based humanities organizations, cultural institutions, and other eligible non-profits to apply for SHARP grants, which will provide operational and/or programmatic support to help organizations recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Applicants may request up to $20,000. There is no match or cost-share requirement.

Applications were due by 5:00 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021.  All grant funded expenses or activities must begin no later than December 1, 2021, and end before November 30, 2022.

If you have any additional questions, please contact NHH Community Project Grant Program Manager, Agnes Burt (aburt@nhhumanities.org).
