Lifetime Achievement in the Humanities Award
Each year, New Hampshire Humanities confers its Excellence in the Humanities award to one person in the state who has had the most significant impact on New Hampshire residents through work in the humanities. This contribution to learning, dialogue, and ideas in the Granite State could be cumulative over time or representing a single event or program that inspired curiosity, fostered dialogue, and/or explored big questions with the public.
An annual award committee, made up of the NHH executive director, immediate past recipient of the award, and a Board member, is charged with identifying, selecting, and presenting the award based on a shared sense of the value of each candidate’s contribution.
We are thrilled to announce that Jane C. Nylander has been selected to receive the 2025 Lifetime Achievement in the Humanities Award, to be presented at the Annual Celebration of the Humanities on October 9, 2025 in Concord. Please join us! Tickets & Details
