Humanities Roadshow at Albacore Park

Join us for a special free gathering featuring a brief program that explores the forgotten history of Black seafaring presented by Dr. W. Jeffrey Bolster, author of Black Jacks: African American Seamen in the Age of Sail. We will also recognize Jere Daniell Public Humanities Teacher Fellow Cassandra Doore, a humanities teacher at Barrington Middle School, and hear brief remarks from Dean Savramis, Executive Director of Albacore Park.
The event will conclude with cake, fruit, and refreshments—everyone is welcome!
