Thank you for your interest in the Humanities to Go Program.

We do not have plans for a full-scale request for proposals and Humanities Fair at this time. Our most recent catalog of presenters and programs was published in the fall of 2016 after an exhaustive search process during which 93 potential Humanities to Go programs were reviewed, many auditioned, and of the original 93, twenty-nine new programs were added to the program offerings.

If you are interested in applying to become a part of the Humanties to Go roster, but don't want to wait until our next request for proposals, we invite you to apply as follows after reading the APPLICATION INFO and RFP documents (offering details to assist you in the application process):

1. Complete a written application. To do so, click HERE to be taken to Submittable.com. If you do not already have an account, you will be asked to create one. This is free and ensures that New Hampshire Humanities has a record not only of your application but also of the best way in which to communicate with you. Furthermore, this allows New Hampshire Humanities program staff an interface through which to review your submission.
2. Upon receipt of your application, New Hampshire Humanities staff will review your proposal. You will receive an invitation to audition or a note explaining why, at that time, you are not being invited to move to the next phase.
3. If you are invited to audition, please be aware that in years when no Humanities Fair (day of auditions) is scheduled the following steps must be taken:

  • Contact Susan Hatem at shatem@nhhumanities.org to let her know when and where you will be giving the presentation you have proposed. New Hampshire Humanities requires a 3-month lead time in order for New Hampshire Humanities to TRY to schedule attendance by both New Hampshire Humanities staff members and at least one invited scholar-reviewer.

  • Upon a final review of the presentation (audition) evaluations, a decision will be made to add (or not) the new program to the catalog. All accepted programs will be added to the online Humanities to Go catalog and may be booked following normal booking procedures by hosts at that time.

Thank you for your interest in Humanities to Go!
